Stacey Plichta

Dr. Stacey B. Plichta is an adjunct Full Professor in the Department of Urban Studies at Queens College and a Full Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy  Currently, her work centers on the occupational health and well-being of Adult Protective Services and similar professions. She is exploring the use of integrative medicine and self-care as a method of mitigating work-related stress in this group. Previous work focuses on intimate partner violence, sexual assault and the interactions of victim/survivors with the healthcare system. She has (co) authored over 80 publications, including the book, Munro’s Statistical Methods for Health Care Research (2013-Lippincott Williams & Wilkins). Overall, her work seeks to inform and strengthen health and social services for victims of violence and neglect.
