Social Justice Organizing: Passion or Profession?

Ramona Miranda Ortega

Will focus on young leaders interested in a career in social justice and understanding what it takes to make a difference.

Ramona Miranda Ortega is the founder of Cidadão Global and the former director of the Human Rights Project of the Urban Justice Center in New York City. She has worked for over 10 years in the area of social justice and human rights, beginning at UCLA, where she was a founding member of the Queer Latino Youth Conference. Ortega is currently studying corporate law at Fordham Law School and is a member of Fordham’s Journal of Corporate and Financial Law.
