Kevin Ryan
Will discuss what motivates people to become activists for social justice causes and what kinds of career paths people who do social justice work take.
Kevin Ryan has worked at the New York Foundation since 2002, managing a portfolio of grants for start-up organizations that focus on community organizing and advocacy. He also oversees the foundation’s Capacity Building Program that includes workshops, small grants, and individual technical assistance requests. Ryan is an adjunct instructor at Hunter College Graduate School of Urban Affairs and Planning and the Joseph S. Murphy Institute for Worker Education and Labor Studies.
